Series 11 Evil Battle Mech

 

One thing I like about collecting Lego CMF is that some minifigure will complete each other. Maybe as a couple or even a rival.

Mostly they can be collected as a theme, for example the circus crew and mascot theme.

Like this Series 11 Evil Battle Mech, it completed another mech guy from Series 9 CMF. Perhaps in another series coming up, there will be another mech, a female one maybe?

Anyway, for now I enjoy having them both riding dirt bikes that were taken out from Lego City set.

Islanders Blast From The Past

CMF Series 11 Tiki Warrior

 

The happy islander folks with cheerful colors of yellow, red and green like fun fries in a packet, have another new addition to their tribe with this newly design Tiki Warrior from Lego Collectable Minifigure Series 11.

Comes with rubbery type brown spear and Tiki mask, this warrior minifigure blend in harmony with the classic Pirates theme islanders, and their long distant cousin Aztec Warrior from last series 7 CMF also have a place to share with.

The mask itself is the special part about this Tiki Warrior. In my opinion, it will be nicer if it comes with a shield like the classic islanders.

If you are thinking about raising an army of Tiki Warrior, I wish you happy hunting. It appear only two units in a box of sixty green packets of CMF Series 11, and it seems everybody loves our Mr. Tiki here like the last Aztec Warrior in CMF Series 7.

Now please excuse me, I'm craving for some pineapple thirst quencher and wild berries. Red, green and yellow is a tropical combination! Whohoo lululululu . . .

Ninjago ZX

Zane ZX in white and Cole ZX in black.

ZX means Zen eXtreme

Ninjago ZX is the third level, next level after Ninjago DX. They appeared in season two of Lego Ninjago. This time they were facing a new enemy of the Serpentine.

The new headquarters for Ninjago ZX is a dragon-themed ship called the Destiny's Bounty (set 9446 in year 2012).

The features of this level of version are the ninjas have ZX robes printed on their torsos, their new hood style with built-in crown of gold or silver and they also wield rigged gold/silver shoulder pauldrons. The pauldrons have circular holder on the back that can be fitted with a maximum two katana swords.

Even their ninja teacher - Sensei Wu wears alternative white robes, featuring snake symbols to protect him from evil.

The 2012 of season 2 : Ninja vs Serpentine sets comes in green boxes instead season 1 : Ninja vs Skeletons that came in red boxes.

Final Voyage to Islands of Bones

Fort Lion

Day 13th of 6th Lunar.

On this very day after 20 years of service in HM Red Jackets, HMS Imperial Flagship (HMS IF) is making her final voyage to Island of Bones, de-commisioned.

This 2-guns ship will join the Naval Fleet of The Blue Coats in hostile waters of Bones Aruz, serving as interceptor and short range island/shore patrol.

Enroute from Fort Lion, Midwife Island, steering by a sea-veteran Admiral Woodhouse, HMS IF has been ordered to burn and sink any enemy boats and ships that she encounters along the sails.

This old brick made a shock decisson when he refused to take any crew on board. He alone will sail [HMS IF] with his deep experience.

The fate of the ship lies in his hands solely, thus making this journey as 'Final Voyage' among the Red Jackets in Fort Lion. 

With two cannons loaded onto the ship, the defense mechanism at Fort Lion is reduced to two-cannons.

The fort located on a remote isle of Midwife Island is currently garrisoned by a Section of ten-brickmen, led by a Red Jacket's Captain.

The drummer beats the quarters in a simple farewell ceremony.

KINGDOMS: 7955 Dragon Mage

From set 7955 released in 2010, this small box was sold at Parkson @RM17.90 before 10% discount.

The price tag was labelled as "Wizard Impulse" :p

It consisted of one mini figure and  about 15 bricks and parts. It was the only dragon wizard found in Kingdoms theme at that time. The other wizard of this kind was seen in Kingdoms Chess Set, and there was another blue wizard in Advent Calendar set. 

But the unique of this mage compared to the other version from the chess set is its golden dragon emblem printed on the wizard hat.

A baby dragon and a printed tile as a magic scroll were also included in the set.

Different as it seen in this personal modified display, the original mini figure comes with black beard and yellow hands. The mage/wizard's headpiece is the same found on Pirates 2009's Admiral , with grey eyebrows, moustache and sideburn.

Since the Dragon Faction does not have a king like its rival Lion Faction, I suppose the dragon mage is the leader of the faction. This is based from the chess set when the Lego Group made him as the King chess piece.

With that conclusion, I rest the mage in the case.

EWOKS REVISITED

Taken from set 8038 The battle of Endor 2009 and set 7956 Ewoks Attack (2011), these are the latest design of five Ewoks that Lego made so far. So lets check those characters.

Chief Chirpa

Chief Chirpa is a male Ewok. He is the leader of Ewoks, served as head of tribe's Council of Elders. This grey minifig is wearing brown hood printed with a tooth. He carries a staff with horns of animals he hunted. Like other Ewoks minifigure, he has short legs that are static, so all Ewoks in Lego world couldn't sit like normal minifigures.

Paploo

Paploo is a brown female Ewok. She is Chief Chirpa's niece. The hood she's wearing is tan in colour and have brown feather printed at the left side of the hood. In set 8038 The Batlle of Endor, Paploo flies with a glider that can drop stone on enemy.

Wicket Wystri Warrick

Another brown Ewok minifig, Wicket comes with orange-brown hood. He is an Ewok scout, warrior and later became the ruler of Bright Tree Village. He is a cheeky character and the Lego portrayed him in Set 8038 carrying a slingshot and a stone. Don't underestimate him. Wicket helped the Rebel Alliance defeated the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Endor.

Logray

This tan fur Ewok was the head shaman at Bright Tree Village. The minifigure's head has a large bird skull and the torso is attached with dark brown sling bag. Logray came from set 7956 Ewoks Attack, together with another black Ewok named Tokkat.

Tokkat

Tokkat is a black fur Ewok with dark green hood. He was an honored hunter of Bright Tree Village. He carries a classic brown Lego bow an arrow as his weapon. Personally I think it will be great if he carries a black one instead of brown bow.

So from the two sets, we can get a tree house and a catapult that maybe just a little part of Bright Tree Village in The Moon Planet of Endor.

The five minifigures of Ewoks are the noticeable characters in Star Wars movie, perhaps after this Lego will create more Ewoks in new coming Lego Star Wars sets. The more, the merrier.

Lets bring chaos to the Imperial Troops, shall we?
