PoTC Minifigure - Scrum

A member of Queen Anne's Revenge pirate ship, Scrum was a crafty, mandola-playing, Machiavellian pirate. Hardly the sharpest sword in the scabbard, Scrum made up for his life with a natural-born talent for music, and duplicity.

In Lego world, Scrum minifigure appears two times in Set 4194 White Cap Bay and in PoTC Battle Pack. His torso and legs have detailed prints on them with three-piece suit of white colar shirt, dark green inner vest and brown long coat. Scrum is wearing a black tricorn hat and equipped with a brown scabbard and gray cutlass.

Like the character himself in PoTC - On Stranger Tides, Scrum minifigure comes out with flesh colour headpiece and hands. His face is printed with brown beard and goatee. He is seen wearing a necklace with a whistle and a lucky shark's tooth.

Scrum is talking to Jack in Disney's PoTC On Stranger Tides movie.

SW : Loyal Padawan - Barriss Offee

Young Barriss Offee is a jedi from planet Mirial who is also a padawan to Jedi Master Luminara Unduli.
To this date, she appears in two versions; from set 8091 Republic Swamp Speeder 2010 with black hood and black cape, latests one is from set 9491 Geonosian Cannon 2012.

As a Mirialan, Barriss Offee has a unique face with blue lips and tattoos that are a sign of high achievement. LEGO has using a distinctive skin colour of greenish hue to reflect Barriss' alien origins from the planet Mirial. Both versions is equipped with blue lightsaber with silver hilt.

Differences can be seen from both Episode II & III versus Clone Wars version are the colour of the hood and cape which are black versus dark blue; the 2010 version has standard Lego eyes whereas the 2012 version has a big cartoon/manga style eyes. The robes of CW version is also shorter than the old ones.

The printing on the torso also make the latest design has a curvy body :p

Order 66 in Star Wars Episode III had made this young character died in hands of Clone Troopers.

The Origin of Dragon Clan in KINGDOMS

Once upon a time, in the Lion Kingdoms, lived a king named King Leon Hart. Old and wise, King Leon's family tree can be traced back to the Wizard King Leo who ruled during Fantasy Era --- the period when dragons, orcs, trolls, undead and dwarves roamed the land and waging war with each other to claim power and wealth. But that was a very long time ago and King Leon was only a young general who served his grandfather, The Wizard King himself.

As time gone by, the Kingdom  was at peace when all the warlocks, one by one had signed treaty and King Leon was elected as the supreme leader of the realm. The Undead was the last party who joined the peace of the realm after their huge loss in The Flesh and Bones War that took 20 years of constant fighting with the King Leon's Red Armies.

King Leon Hart was blessed with two princes but still he was a worried father when it comes to decide  who will inherit his Kingdoms since both prince were twin brothers. He knew as long as he is on the throne, the involved warlocks will respect the treaty although some minor and remote attacks were reported at borderlands. Since peace is a high price to pay, he ignored the reports, as long war can be avoided and that was his main concern. It was a crucial moment. He had lost many of his men during the war and the Kingdoms itself was facing financial crisis due to post war and long drought that affected the crops in the land.

Dominic Zugor

General Dominic Zugor was the Commander of 5th Lion's Light Paladin who fought in the 20 years of the Flesh and Bones War. He returned to Lion's Kingdoms with only one quarter of his paladins, only to find his wife had died of high fever during his absent in war zone and his farm were abandoned. Brokenhearted and broke, he went back to the castle. Another bad news came to him --- the 5th Paladin was disbanded and the veterans had left for their families in homeland. He was so poor that he had to sell off his helmet and armor for some goldleons so he could stay at the inn and buy some warm meal and flagons of blueberry drinks.

 King Leon heard the news of his general but the King himself was in a bad situation. He had no goldleons and position in his castle to offer to General Dominic. After a series of long discussions with his wizard teacher and advisors, the King summoned the general and presented him The Book of 99 Laws and made the general as The Sheriff of Marshland.

"My loyal servant, now I entrusted you to be my eyes and ears of the eastern land in this Kingdom. Uphold the law and protect the innocents. Arise now, Sir Dominic, Sheriff of Marshland. The land is for you to rule, and the subjects and wealth on it are yours to govern. May Godspeed."

Those were the farewell words of King Leon to his long time general. Sir Dominic was no longer a commander of any army back then. Instead, he was the army. The one-man-army. With a black steed that His Majesty presented to him, Sir Dominic rode alone to the east. He traveled light since he left everything he had owned behind, armed only with a broadsword that helped him through so many battles during those time of wars. The Marshland was a month journey and Sir Dominic were so keen to claim his own land to rule.

SW MOC BBB AGC

 

BBB ATC : Short name of Blue Bumbble Bee Attack Gunship/Carrier

 is a dual-function aircraft that can be used on hot zone battlefield ferrying cargo/soldiers while attacking/defending enemy/friendly ground units.

Emperor Palpatine, accompanied by Darth Vader and security units of Stormtroopers were here at the launching of prototype BBB ATC.

Several other pilots like Capt. Jag, Zev Senesca, A-Wing pilot, Buzz Lightyear, S3 Pilot and S6 InterGalactic Girl were also present to see the BBB ATC for the first time. Some even volunteered to become the Test Pilot.

The Mandalorian Soldiers were given the task to guard the prototype unit. Two personal bodyguard were seen on high-powered motorbikes for extra precaution.

LEGO Harry Potter Minifigure - Luna Lovegood

LUNA LOVEGOOD
Comes from set 4841 Hogwarts Express 2010, Luna is a quirky Ravenclaw who befriend Harry and later became a part of Defense Against Dark Arts (DADA) secret club led by Harry himself.

So far this is her only appearance in Harry Potter sets. She has a skirt printed over her blue trousers. Her headpiece is a double-sided version: one side with Spectrespecs and another one is without.

Luna carries a brown wand with her.

Another minifigures inside the set are Ron Weasley, his sister Ginny, Harry and his arch enemy, Draco Malfoy in new design of Slytherin's school uniform.

Star Wars (Clone Wars) ARF Trooper

From Set 7913 : Clone Trooper Battle Pack
This Specialist Scout is called The Advance Recon Force Trooper is exclusive to this Clone Wars set, released in year 2011.

Like any other clone trooper minifigures, ARF trooper has a same torso and headpiece design. It's unique characteristic lies on his ARF helmet with some green colored markings, and regiment insignia.

ARF trooper carries out recon missions. Sometimes he initiates surprise attacks with his blaster rifle. He is just like any other Scout Trooper or Kashyyyk Trooper, only that he is fighting in Star Wars Clone Wars.

Equipments:  Since ARF Trooper operating as a single soldier, his armor is more lightweight than regular clone trooper armor, so he can moves swiftly in stealth. He carries an energy pack on his back that generates air supply and battery power. His helmet is also equipped with long-range comlink and has a specialized breathing apparatus that help him adapt to new environment.

Other minifigures that included in this set is a Clone Commander from Horn Company and two bomb squad troopers plus a white BARC speeder.

8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack

Battle pack sets usually contains four mini figures equipped with weapons and simple bricks construction and vehicles. It's an easy and cheaper way if you are into army building of same minifigs/soldiers.

In this set 8084 which was released in year 2010, you can get two Snowtroopers, one AT-AT Driver and an Imperial General that looks like General Veers, only that it's headpiece doesn't have the dual sided face like Veers.

It also includes a snow speederbike and a canon outpost. The mini figures are equipped with two long blasters, one medium blaster and a binocular for the officer.

The Snowtrooper - Subartic stormtrooper.

This highly specialized stormtrooper is built to survive in extremely cold climates in Hoth planet. The airtight white body glove provides insulation from the cold. It is also suitable for camouflage on icy and snowy planets.

Its unique masked helmet, backpack and torso have been created specifically for his use. The backpack is attached to the helmet, and Lego put a blank headpiece to give the classic visor effect. The snowtrooper carries a medium/long blaster and travel on a snowspeeder.

AT-AT Driver - All Terrain Terror

As a top Imperial soldier, he commands a deadly All Terrain Armored Transport walker, short-named as At-AT walker. He is also considered to be a pilot, even though the AT-ATs are not flying machines. That's why we can see a similarity of his helmet and torso design with other TIE pilots (which have black version of helmet and torso).

With that, I rest them in a case :p.

Note: There is an extra AT-AT Driver, it's not from the set.

The Aztec Warriors

Aztec Warriors

Known as Eagle warriors, these Aztec warriors can be found in red packets of Minifigures Series 7, highly hunted by mini figures collectors since they are only three minifigs in a box of sixty.

The Aztecs appears as lavish soldiers with golden eagle-shaped headgear, round shield and spear.

Their faces is painted with green mask, and they wear a necklace made of bird feathers and if you inspect it closely, you'll find a tiny minifig's head printed on it!

Who are the Aztecs?

Well they are the people of a certain ethnic groups of central Mexico who spoke the Nahuatl language and dominated large parts of Mesoamerica from the 14th to 16th centuries.

Clone Wars Soldier

These updated Phase I armor soldiers with more stylized graphic pattern has been replacing the clone troopers of year 2003 Lego Star Wars set.

This troop has fought for the Republic in eight Clone Wars (CW) sets since 2008 and were last seen in action in set 8098 Clone Turbo Tank (2010).

Each soldier has an identity with its flesh-colored head piece of clone face instead plain black head piece found in the old clone trooper.

Clone Wars clone troopers wear full simpler helmets that are printed with a black visor, compared to the Version.2003 which the helmets were designed with T-shape visor with a hollow. The black head piece gave a black visor effect.

Its torso were printed with a design to make it look like its wearing white plastoid armor that give an impression of a lightweight armor but blaster-resistant. Its utility belt holds survival gear, ammunition and assault equipment. Standard issue weapon for this soldier is a DC-15 blaster rifle.

The Death of Clone Troopers?

In Episode III Lego SW Sets, another clone trooper design were made with the improvement of advanced Phase II armor. It is a different shape as it contains superior communications and breathing apparatus.

This maybe a transition between the clone troopers into standard stormtrooper. The Phase II clone troopers have blank black heads that can be seen through the open T-visor of their helmets. The helmet itself have the characteristic of a stormtrooper-style helmet with its heat dispersal vents aid breathing.

This minifigure appears in three sets of Episode III and one of the set is 8091 Republic Swamp Speeder,released in year 2010.

These Phase II Clone Troopers can be mistakenly identify as Stormtroopers. Its the T-visor helmet is a difference.

The Islanders

Welcome back to another memory lane.

This time the year was 1994.

The Islanders had been added into Classic Pirates theme. Creating another clan or party besides the existing Imperial Soldiers and pirates.

The characteristic of these minifigures can be seen at their painted face and using plant-based clothing. The chieftain of this tribal islander have his own unique name given by Lego ; King Kahuka. Yes, he was a king and he had his own throne too. His painted face is different from normal islander with white and blue colour. He also wearing a red bulky masked helmet.

Like other pirates minifigures, Lego created a female islander with lipstick on.

The islanders equipped themselves with brown spears and large oval shield. They also used bows and arrows. Due to their natural surroundings, they travel from one island to another island in canoe or catamaran with sails. Their home were made from coconut tree and palm leaves.

The animals in this islander theme includes parrots, crocodiles and monkeys. They also had treasure hidden in their island.

So,were these islanders in good side or were they savage and cannibal tribe? Well, in Lego world, it is you to decide which are the good guys and who were the bad guys.

For me, the islanders is a neutral tribe. They welcome both Imperial Soldiers and the Pirates to do trading with them. As long their peaceful life is not disturbed or they will be fearsome warriors when it comes into protecting they sacred ground and hidden treasures.

Luke : Psst... hey Han, what blown up our cover?
Han : We got the wrong outfit. Looks like they were issued with new
stormtrooper armor. Besides, we both forgot the helmets.

Trooper 5 : Oit you two. Silent.

Han : Didn't your Jedi teacher, err what's his name?
Luke : Master Yoda.

Han : Right, Didn't Mister Yodel taught you how to loose these handcuff?
Luke : Uhh?Oh I just skipped the lesson. I was more interested with the lightsaber.
And don't you ever, ever insult Grand Master Jedi Yoda in front of me.

Han : Uhhh . . . I'm scared.
Luke : I'm warning you, Han.

Han : Well tell that green slimey . . . ouch, stop pulling my hair Luke. Stop it!...

Trooper 2 : The prisoners are trying to escape. Shoot them!

Trooper 1 : Seize fire ! Seize fire! Oh no, we're getting into trouble this time.
